A few words about us
Matthew Tolhurst has 30 years experience in landscaping and garden design. A passionate plantsman with an eye for quality landscaping materials sympathetic to your garden environment.
A Lifetime of Plants
Having grown up on an organic fruit farm in central Cornwall he has always been around plants. At the age of 16 he moved with his family to South Oxfordshire where he studied at The Berkshire College of Agriculture.
He began his career working alongside other garden designers and landscapers then establishing his own work in private gardens, carrying out maintenance and planting projects across South Oxfordshire.
Full circle
Marrying his childhood friend Marie and returning full time to central Cornwall in 2021 he is enjoying the rich and varied plants which can be grown here.
Marie is also part of Tolhurst Landscape taking care of the accounts and often helping with garden maintenance and planting schemes. She is also a keen cut flower grower.
